The EDGE Architecture Festival Budapest is a forward-thinking platform that explores the role of architecture in 2025 amid social, ecological, and technological change. It raises essential questions: Is building still necessary—and if so, how, with what tools, and for whom? Held in Budapest, a cultural and intellectual crossroads, the festival brings together international and Hungarian voices to examine how architecture can respond to a rapidly transforming world. Through conferences, discussions, and the EDGE Awards, it showcases progressive ideas that challenge and expand the boundaries of the profession.

 

We at DE_FORM designed the visual identity for EDGE—a project that quickly became a personal mission, as architecture and its deeper meaning are especially important to us. Since EDGE is set to return annually with evolving themes, we created a distinctive logotype and a flexible framework that can adapt each year. This year’s identity is built around a bold neon color, supported by black, white, and greys—referencing construction, temporariness, and continuous change. Our aim was to craft a system that grows with the festival, while preserving the strong, future-focused character of EDGE.
