The Cumulus Association is the leading global network for art and design education and research, fostering international collaboration among its 370 member institutions from 69 countries. In 2024, the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME) hosted the conference. MOME, with its 143-year legacy and state-of-the-art campus, is a pioneer in design education and sustainability in the CEE region.

The conference theme, "P/References," explored the intersections of preferences and references in design, and values guided discussions on the evolving role of design in society.
